Ron Sockolov, MD

Ron Sockolov, MD

Dr. Ron Sockolov was born and raised in San Francisco, CA. He received a BS in Exercise Physiology and an MA in Human Physiology from UC Davis prior to pursuing an MD at UCLA. Dr. Ron returned to UC Davis to complete his residency. Since receiving his board certification in 1984, Dr. Ron has been practicing in Sacramento, as well as acting as the Team Physician for Sacramento State University. In addition, Dr. Ron has been a principal investigator for Sockolov Medical Research for 12 years. As such, he has been on the forefront of investigational research in several areas including hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, arthritis, migraines, and infected wounds, among others.
Alvin Sockolov, MD

Alvin Sockolov, MD

Dr. Alvin Sockolov was born and raised in San Francisco, CA. He received a BS in Physiology from UC Davis prior to pursuing an MD at UCLA. Dr. Alvin then returned to Davis to complete his residency at UC Davis. He has been serving the Sacramento area since receiving his board certification in 1983. In addition to being an active family practice staff member at both Mercy General Hospital and Sutter Community Hospitals, Dr. Alvin is a principal investigator for Sockolov Medical Research, participating in studies related to hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, arthritis, migraines, and infected wounds, among others.
Eddy Joelson, MD

Eddy Joelson, MD

Dr. Joelson attended UC Berkeley, where he received a BA with Highest Distinction in Molecular and Cell Biology, with an emphasis in Neurobiology. As an undergrad, Dr. Joelson was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society, as well Phi Beta Kappa, an honor society. Dr. Joelson attended medical school at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY, and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at UC Davis in 2007, with an additional postdoctoral fellowship in geriatrics. In addition to working with Sockolov & Sockolov, Dr. Joelson provides his services to the Oakland Raiders on an as needed basis.
Ingvild Gangsaas Lane, M.D

Ingvild Gangsaas Lane, M.D

Dr. Ingvild Lane attended Stanford University where she received a BA with Distinction and Departmental Honors in psychology and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Lane attended medical school at UCLA where she was awarded several awards including; Stafford L. Warren Medal as the top graduate of the medical class, the Janet M. Glasgow Memorial award as the top graduating woman, the American College of Physicians award for top graduating student, the UCLA Alumni Distinguished Scholar award and served as co- president of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She attended the University of Washington for internal medicine residency and chief residency and also received the Educator of the year award at Swedish Medical Center-Providence Campus. Dr. Lane was board certified in internal medicine in 2001 and has served the community in internal medicine since that time with a focus on best practices evidence based medicine combined with compassionate patient and family centered care. From 2007 to 2010, she was awarded Best Doctors in America. In her spare time, Dr. Lane loves to spend time with her 2 daughters and enjoy the outdoors with her 2 dogs.
Leah Gumpert Grossman, RN, FNP

Leah Gumpert Grossman, RN, FNP

Leah attended UC San Diego where she received a BA in History before moving on to attend Samuel Merritt University, completing her RN licensure and then Master of Science degree in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner certification. Leah was born and raised in Sacramento, CA and has enjoyed being part of the family practice team at Sockolov & Sockolov. Outside of work she enjoys working out, gardening and spending time with her family.
Erin Geiger, PA-C

Erin Geiger, PA-C

Erin attended UC Davis where she earned her Bachelor degree in Psychology and a minor in Neuroscience. She then attended Touro University to earn a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and a Master of Public Health. When not working at the Sockolov family practice, she enjoys hiking and camping with her husband, as well as cooking and running.

Sonja attended UC Riverside where she received a BA in Psychology. She then attended Touro University to earn a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and Master of Public Health. When not working at Sockolov and Sockolov, Sonja enjoys shopping, working out and spending time with family and friends.
Samantha Gove, F.N.P.-C

Samantha Gove, F.N.P.-C

Samantha is originally a resident of Vacaville and moved to Sacramento in 2014. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at California State University, Chico. Samantha worked as a registered nurse for several years prior to working as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Master of Science at the University of California, Davis. Her practice interests include mental health and family care. She enjoys running and baking, and also is a proud dog owner of her dachshund, Charlie. 
Tamar Broussard, PA-C

Tamar Broussard, PA-C

Tamar received her BS degree in Nutrition with a minor in Spanish from LSU in Baton Rouge, LA.  She then went on to complete a double Master’s program in Physician Assistant sciences and Public Health at Touro University in Vallejo, CA. When not in clinic, Tamar enjoys baking, spending time with her husband and children, and staying active.
