Ron Sockolov, MD

     Dr. Ron Sockolov was born and raised in San Francisco, CA. He received a BS in Exercise Physiology and an MA in Human Physiology from UC Davis prior to pursuing an MD at UCLA. Dr. Ron returned to UC Davis to complete his residency. Since receiving his board certification in 1984, Dr. Ron has been practicing in Sacramento, as well as acting as the Team Physician for Sacramento State University. In addition, Dr. Ron has been a principal investigator for Sockolov Medical Research for 12 years. As such, he has been on the forefront of investigational research in several areas including hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, arthritis, migraines, and infected wounds, among others

Alvin Sockolov, MD

     Dr. Alvin Sockolov was born and raised in San Francisco, CA. He received a BS in Physiology from UC Davis prior to pursuing an MD at UCLA. Dr. Alvin then returned to Davis to complete his residency at UC Davis. He has been serving the Sacramento area since receiving his board certification in 1983. In addition to being an active family practice staff member at both Mercy General Hospital and Sutter Community Hospitals, Dr. Alvin is a principal investigator for Sockolov Medical Research, participating in studies related to hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, arthritis, migraines, and infected wounds, among others.

Ingvild Gangsaas Lane, M.D

     Dr. Ingvild Lane attended Stanford University where she received a BA with Distinction and Departmental Honors in psychology and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Lane attended medical school at UCLA where she was awarded several awards including: Stafford L. Warren Medal as the top graduate of the medical class, the Janet M. Glasgow Memorial award as the top graduating woman, the American College of Physicians award for top graduating student, the UCLA Alumni Distinguished Scholar award and served as co- president of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She attended the University of Washington for internal medicine residency and chief residency and also received the Educator of the year award at Swedish Medical Center-Providence Campus. Dr. Lane was board certified in internal medicine in 2001 and has served the community in internal medicine since that time with a focus on best practices evidence based medicine combined with compassionate patient and family centered care. From 2007 to 2010, she was awarded Best Doctors in America. In her spare time, Dr. Lane loves to spend time with her 2 daughters and enjoy the outdoors with her 2 dogs.

Jude Waterbury, MD

     Dr. Jude Waterbury was raised in Sonora, CA, and attended Santa Clara University, graduating in 1991 with a BS in Biology. He served two years as an EMT for Sacramento ambulance services before traveling to Hungary to attend medical school. He graduated summa cum laude, top 10 percent of his class, from Pécs Medical Sciences University, in 2000, and returned to the U.S. with his diploma, wife, and daughter. His residency training in Internal Medicine was at Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland, PA. Since 2005, he has worked in Sacramento, the birthplace of his father, in primary care and hospital care. He brings his local experience, from the ambulance, the primary-care office, the intensive care unit, the hospital, and the skilled-nursing facility to his patient care.

Ambreen Zaman, PA-C

Ambreen Zaman was raised in Plano, Texas. She received her undergraduate from TWU in Biology and general science  then she went on to her post graduate degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Harding University. Ambreen started her career in orthopedic medicine working with acute and chronic orthopedic injuries, sports injuries and specializing in various joint injections, all amongst various other services. In an effort to broaden her horizon, Ambreen switched to Family medicine practice and joined the Sockolov and Sockolov family. She enjoys incorporating her orthopedic skills in her current practice of family medicine. As a PA, she strives to provide excellent care and build long term relationships while working on patient’s overall health care needs. Ambreen’s life outside of work consists of traveling with her husband and her son.

Thao Manh, PA-C

Thao Manh grew up in Sacramento, CA. She attended Sacramento State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry. It was there that she did her undergraduate research in microbiology, focusing on wound healing. Through her time as an undergraduate she worked in various skilled nursing facilities and primary care offices. Her passion for providing the highest standard of care for patients lead her to pursue a career as a Physician Assistant. Thao completed her Masters in Physician Assistant at University of the Pacific with a focus in Family Medicine. She enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients and providing patients with an environment of trust and partnership to promote the best health outcomes. On her off-time, Thao can be found spending time with family and friends, enjoying good food, and other activities like traveling, paddle boarding, playing board games, and going on long walks with her Corgi “Boba”. She is bilingual in English and Vietnamese.

Jessica Carlton, PA-C

Jessica Carlton grew up in the Sacramento area. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Minor in French from the University of Portland in Oregon. Following graduation, she moved to Chicago where she attended Rush University, receiving a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies with a focus in Orthopedics in the third year. After graduation, Jessica worked in spine and perioperative medicine at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, Pilates and Yoga. As a PA, Jessica strives to help patients achieve their healthcare goals through guidance, support and education.

Lauren Wirdzek, PA-C

Lauren Wirdzek grew up in the Bay Area and knew from early in high school that she wanted to be a PA. She attended UC Santa Cruz and received a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology. Lauren completed her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at University of the Pacific with a focus in Family Medicine and Dermatology. As a PA, she strives to develop long term relationships with patients while providing education and following evidence based care. Outside of work, she loves cooking, trying new foods, hiking, traveling and spending time with friends, family and her Golden Retriever, Kevin.

Johanna Dawson, PA-C

Johanna was born and raised in Salem, Oregon. She attended Gonzaga University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Human Physiology. Throughout her time as an undergraduate student, Johanna gained experience in the medical field working in ambulatory surgery, orthopedics, and pain & spine. Her passion for patient care led her to pursue a career as a PA, accepting a seat in the Trevecca Nazarene University PA program in Nashville, TN. She graduated as Valedictorian of her class and was inducted into the Pi Alpha National Honor Society. After graduating, Johanna moved to her husband’s hometown of Sacramento, and joined the Sockolov & Sockolov family. Here she hopes to empower patients to feel in control of their own care through education and treatment plans tailored to the individual. In her spare time, Johanna enjoys spending time with family and friends, and activities such as camping, hiking, and reading. She has always had a passion for nutrition and fitness, and spends time each day lifting weights, going for runs, or being active in nature.
